About the event
Join People of La Junta for Preservation for a hands-on pottery gathering using natural, locally found clay, with pit firing on Friday.
Together, we’ll explore shaping clay by hand and how fire transforms it into pottery. Working with clay offers a chance to slow down, create, and connect with the land—the soil, water, and fire that make this process possible.
This gathering is also a space to share stories, learn from one another, and spend time in community. Bring your curiosity and a willingness to get your hands muddy!
