People of La Junta for Preservation is an Indigenous-led, matrilineal nonprofit rooted in La Junta de los Ríos and fighting for Indigenous rights across the Greater Big Bend.

 

We protect sacred places, defend religious freedom, care for ancestral lands, and carry our community’s knowledge forward. As the border wall threatens our homelands, we are taking that responsibility into the courtroom—and continuing the work of strengthening our community for generations to come.
